2014 Spring Clean Up, Trash & Recycling Schedule


                Spring Clean-Up in Ebensburg Borough is scheduled for Tuesday, April 29th and Wednesday, April 30th. The collection will coincide with the customers’ regular garbage pickup days. All items to be picked up must be at the curbside by 6:00 a.m. on collection day.

                The following items will be collected: household items such as clothes, toys, pictures, lamps, furniture, lawn and garden equipment. All gas-powered items must have gas and oil removed. No riding mowers. All small items must be in boxes, bags, or cans that one person can lift (max 60 lbs.). Maximum of one (1) large piece of furniture or appliance. Brush, limbs, cuttings and boards must be bundled in 3’ lengths.

                Due to restrictions placed on the landfill, the following items WILL NOT be collected:  construction related debris such as windows, doors, lumber, shingles, bricks, blocks, etc; liquid paint; paint thinner; motor oil; wheels or tires; car batteries; car parts; anything considered to be chemical or hazardous; metal heavier than tin; grass, leaves, shrubs; stones, rocks, concrete.  Appliances that use Freon will NOT be collected.

Lee’s Disposal is conducting the clean-up. Questions regarding the clean-up program should be directed to Lee’s Disposal at 814-886-2801 (8 am – 4:30 pm)
