Sheetz wishes to sell beer for on premise consumption and to go, and wine to go at the 818 West High Street location. Sheetz must first secure a restaurant liquor license. No Ebensburg license is available for purchase at this time. Sheetz has entered into an agreement to purchase a license from elsewhere within Cambria County, and plans to transfer the license to Ebensburg, pursuant to the inter-municipal transfer provisions of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code (47 P.S. 461). That provision requires a Resolution from Borough Council approving the license transfer. Borough Council is required to conduct this public hearing prior to considering said Resolution.
Pursuant to the inter-municipal transfer provisions of the Pennsylvania Liquor Code (47 P.S. 461), a Public Hearing will be conducted by the Borough Council of the Borough of Ebensburg for the purpose of hearing testimony from Sheetz relative to the proposed transfer of a liquor license to their store at 818 West High Street, Ebensburg Borough. Residents of Ebensburg Borough are invited to hear said testimony and comment on the proposed license transfer. The Public Hearing shall be held on Monday, February 20, 2017 at 6:30 p.m. at the Ebensburg Municipal Building, 300 West High Street, Ebensburg, Pa.
Consideration of a proposed Resolution allowing said license transfer is scheduled for Council’s regular monthly meeting at 6:30 p.m. February 27, 2017 at the municipal building, 300 West High Street, Ebensburg, PA.
