Rails-to-Trails Extension Connects Ebensburg to Nanty Glo
The Cambria County Conservation & Recreation Authority held grand opening ceremonies for the Ghost Town Trail Extension from Ebensburg to Nanty Glo on October 20, 2006. This 8-mile section of rails-to-trails is an addition to the existing Ghost Town Trail connecting with 12-miles of trail to Dilltown, Indiana County! Walkers, joggers, bicyclists, cross country skiers, etc. have the chance to experience scenic beauty at it’s finest! The trail connects with Downtown Ebensburg through a brick patterned corridor from the trailhead.
There are additional hiking and biking trails in the area. Walking trails have been formed around Lake Rowena and the swimming pool complex.
