The Borough of Ebensburg is offering for sale by sealed bid real property consisting of two adjoining vacant land parcels totaling approximately 1.9 acres. The parcels are irregular in shape with access via Maplebrook Road in Cambria Township (commonly referred to as the “Crestwood” neighborhood). The parcels are zoned R-SH — Single Household Residential, are partially cleared and are relatively flat in contour. The land has public water and sewer service available nearby along with natural gas and electric service (exact location to be verified by bidders). The property includes parcel no. 08-020. -140.000 and parcel no. 08-057. -504.002 having a total assessed value of $660 with annual taxes of $73. The land was recently appraised at a value of $128,000 which by law is the minimum acceptable bid.
As a matter of disclosure, It should be noted years ago, this property served as the “Borough Dump”. As such, the Borough makes no representations regarding the environmental condition of the property or its suitability for use.
Offers will be accepted in sealed envelopes to addressed to the attention of the Borough Manager marked “Maplebrook Road Property Bid” to be received at the Borough Office at 300 W High St., Ebensburg, PA 15931 on or before November 20, 2026. The successful bidder shall be required to provide a non-refundable deposit of $5,000.00 within 5 days of award notification, with the condition that payment of the remaining balance is to be made within 60 days of the award by Borough Council.
