CHRISTMAS TREE PICKUP
Christmas trees are picked up by borough crews in the weeks following the holiday season. Residents need only discard their tree at the nearest street corner. The trees are hauled to the borough’s recycling center, where they are chipped into mulch and later used on area walking trails.
Borough crews begin collecting leaves throughout the borough in mid-October. Residents are asked to rake all leaves into rows along the curb. A vacuum truck is used to pickup leaves from yards and sidewalks. The leaves are hauled to the borough recycling center where they are composted for later use.
