EBENSBURG VOLUNTEERS RECOGNIZED
Ebensburg – On Thursday, September 29th, the Ebensburg Main Street Partnership held their Volunteer Appreciation Night & Member Networking Event recognizing all the volunteers that give their time to make Ebensburg’s community events happen.
“We host this special night of food, prizes and entertainment each year to show our appreciation for all of the hours our volunteers give throughout the year,” said Danea Koss, Community Development Director.
Each year during Volunteer Appreciation Night, a “Volunteer of the Year” is honored for their outstanding service to the Ebensburg Main Street Partnership and to the community. This year’s recipient was Deb Bender. “Deb is someone who is always willing to lend a hand and active in almost every event that we host,” said Danea Koss, Community Development Director.
The Main Street Partnership is always looking for additional volunteers and committee members. Ebensburg’s current events include the annual Art in Bloom spring art show in April, Wheels & Wings in June, Movie in the Park, Downtown Shutdown and Homecoming in July, Concerts in the Park in August, PotatoFest in September, Fall Foliage Ride in October and Dickens of a Christmas in December.
If you are interested in volunteering for any of these events, please contact the Ebensburg Borough Office at (814) 472-8414 or visit www.ebensburgpa.com.
