We are considering a potential change to our community recreation space and would greatly value your input. We are exploring the idea of converting the existing skate park/hockey rink, located at Lake Rowena, into pickleball courts. Before making any decisions, we want to hear from our residents about how this change might impact you, whether you currently use the rink, play pickleball, or have other suggestions for the space. Your feedback is essential to ensure that any changes reflect the needs and priorities of the whole community. Please participate in the following online survey, which will be open July 14 – 28th.
In the meantime, the Ebensburg Pickleball Club was granted $2500 to purchase supplies for temporary use of the hockey rink. All nets will be removed after play, allowing hockey players and/or inline skaters to utilize the rink. By repurposing the rink during the summer months, the municipality can increase the recreational offerings throughout the year.
